Qantas Airbus A380 escapes crash, lands with burnt out engine

All Qantas airlines airbus flights have been suspended, after an A380 jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore.

Part of the plane’s engine-cover fell off mid-flight. The airliner bound for Sydney was carrying more than 450 people. The engine cut out over Indonesia, shortly after take-off from Singapore.

Witnesses on a nearby island say they heard a huge blast and found pieces of debris. The double-decker A380 is the largest passenger plane in the world. Qantas Airbus A380 escapes crash, lands with burnt out engine.

The Total Surfing Fitness Surfing Fitness Program put together by professional athletics fitness trainer Clayton Beatty.

If you’re a beginner surfer, or even intermediate then your surf fitness will be playing a very large part on the progression of your surfing.

If you’re lucky enough to live close to the sea, and you can get out in the water a few times per week – then you don’t really need a surfing fitness program, the very best surf fitness training is surfing itself

But what if, like me and many others, you can only get into the surf every so often?

If you live close to the beach, you can go out and get some paddle practice in while it’s flat, and you can practice popping up and cross stepping when it’s small (or whatever, depending on whether you’re longboarding or shortboarding), getting better and stronger, for when it’s really pumping.

But if you’re not fortunate enough to live close to the sea, then you need a surf fitness program which you can put into practice on dry land, to ensure that you can progress with your surfing without regular trips to the beach.

Forget general workouts, if you want to get better at surfing then ditch your standard fitness routine, and replace it with a training routine specially designed for improving surfing fitness.

But what about the training program itself?

I have looked into other surfing fitness sites which give suggested workouts for surfers, but I have never seen something as comprehensive as the training regime Clayton Beatty has put together to create the Total Surfing Fitness Surfing Fitness Program.

Total Surfing Fitness is split into three four week training programs.

Each level increasing in intensity with the advice that you move onto the next level if you feel you are up to increasing intensity.

The training routine is designed to be done 2-3 times per week with a rest day in between workouts, and workouts should last around 45 minutes.

It is recommended that cardio training is also done on the alternate days, also 2-3 times per week. There is a “killer cardio” guide included in the program which advises on better and less boring ways to get cardio exercise in.

The workouts then end with a stretching sequence, with stretches specially designed for stretching the muscle groups you’ve been focusing on, to ensure quick recovery and minimise chances of injury.

What are the exercises?

I won’t go into the exercise and explain them, as I’m not a certified fitness trainer (Clayton Beatty who designed this training course, is) but there are a wide range of exercises, many of which are completely free exercises which involve no weights or equipment.

Some of the exercises do require a towel, an exercise ball (you know them big rubber balls), a set of dumbbells, and a chin-up bar – or something to do chin-ups with.

The surf fitness workouts are designed so that they can be performed without even leaving the house. Of course there’s nothing stopping you from doing this in the gym if you’d prefer.

What’s in the member’s area?

There is lots of great stuff in the member’s area. First there are the links to each level TSF level 1, TSF level 2 and TSF level 3.

The section for each level contains the PDF manual for that level, and video instructions to show you how to do it. The videos are really good.

There is the link to the killer cardio section, with a PDF which contains the killer cardio workouts. The killer cardio workouts work with any cardio activity, whether it’s running, cycling, rowing, hitting a punch bag, swimming and it helps you to turn your favourite cardio workout into a more effective workout.

There’s a link to the flexibility and mobility section, a link to the foam roller section which explain how to use foam rollers for self massage after surfing sessions or workouts.

There’s the advanced core and balance section, pre-surf warm ups section, killer body weight workouts (which focus on workouts which you can do if all you have available is your own body weight, great for training while travelling), the power playground section with interesting workouts that can be done at your local playground (great if you have kids), and bonus workouts section which contains a number of different workout manuals.

Plus on the members homepage there is a “what’s new” section so you can check out any new developments and new resources.

Use the Total Surfing Fitness Surfing Fitness Program and it will help you to become a much better surfer – and it’s going to make your time in the water far more enjoyable.

“Temporary or permanent?” of course the latter would be the most popular answer unless you are the type who is strangely inclined with quick-constant-changes in your life. In whatever field it is, people find security and stability in permanence. It is funny to think that in dieting however, they give in to short-term solutions.

These short-term solutions come in different ways such as skipping meals, working out with an empty stomach and so forth.

What are the most common metabolism malpractices?

Dieters only think of one factor affecting metabolism. There are different factors that lower or heightens metabolic rate like age, sex, sleeping habits, amount of muscle mass. The tendency for most of us wanting to lose weight is to get carried away with just one area of consideration. The most typical example is that he focuses on building muscles but neglect sleep. This is not a good way because it will not give positive outcomes.

Dieters just exercise for the fat zone. This thing does not sound new to us. Even gym instructors give this as an advice. So, the dieters think that doing this would really shape them up. The truth is, they need an over-all work out to maintain weight or even improve it to the level you want to.

Another big malpractice is when dieters restrict calories too much. For experts, when food goes down too low, metabolism slows down to create a balance inside for bodily activities. There is a big possibility that you lose weight, but this may come from wrong portions of the body like the muscles or organs. You just lose weight temporarily but in the long run, you will lose muscle mass, and eventually gain weight.

The worst malpractice is the use of diet pills to lose weight. Metabolism is greatly affected by this wrongdoing. They think that taking these pills would tame their appetite and lose weight. This is just for short-term results, you have to think of long-term wellness over a temporary rejoice.

You must put in mind that health will always be the most important one not only for diet-conscious individuals but for all people. Therefore, we must not be blinded with these glittering diet malpractices.

For example, you are not consistent with dieting like you have been in and out of losing weight program, over the years; you gain and lose weight interchangeably. Has it something to do with ruining your diet? Does it mean a problem or just a common misconception?

It is nothing else but impossible. Diet could not be ruined. There may be noticeable shifts in the body composition that is regarded as one of the things people refer to when they talk about their metabolism being “ruined” by dieting but this is only a natural component the so-called “burning of calories.”

If one hopes to bring his or her metabolic rate up and soaring, one of the best things you can do is regain some of that lost muscle by adding weight training to your routine. With this, metabolism would be faster and attaining the lighter weight you have now is easier.

In the dieting world, this phenomenon of gain now, lose weight later is called “yo-yo” effect. There are specific positive actions you can make in order to work with any metabolic concern you may have as a result of your dieting history. Every person differs, so have the freedom and sensibility to gauge your needs and put into consideration all the factors especially how your metabolism is like.

Most people experiencing the trouble of the yo-yo effect have been trying to lose weight using a low-fat diet. However, this is not the correct approach.
